The fine sandy beach extends straight along the Mediterranean for some 20km. from the entrance to the yachting port (within the naturist center) right along to S�te. The first 5 km are reserved for naturists. Thereafter, the textile area begins. The sand on the beach is cleaned and thoroughly sieved to ensure cleanliness. Dogs are not allowed on the beach except out of beach hours. (i.e. very early in the mornings and late in the evenings). (see map)

Taking photos on the beach is not entirely forbidden. Taking photos of friends and relatives is perfectly all right. However, taking photos of other, unknown, nude people is not acceptable and can raise objections from those being photographed on the beach. Often they can be banned from the beach. (see map)

The beach slopes gradually into the sea and the water is shallow for some distance. Children can, therefore play safely in the water.

A flag, which flies over the beach, gives information concerning the danger of the sea. (see map) There are three different flags. The green means: No danger. This is usually the case in the main season. When the yellow flag is flying, caution is required, particularly in the pre and off-season when it flies more frequently. The third flag is red and a total ban on entering the sea is imposed! At such times, the sea is dangerous even for good swimmers. Many accidents in the past have happened when the red flag has been flying..

The beach guard station is very helpful in dealing with smaller wounds, cuts and bruises at no charge. At the " black board " (halfway along the beach) the current water temperature and the weather forecast is displayed. (see map)

There are two beach restaurants directly on the beach. The " Le Galeon " is particularly recommended. The other one is the " La Meridienne " which offers lighter snacks and beverages. (see map) The " Le Galeon " and the " La Meridienne" can also supply beach loungers, sun screens, pedaloes, surfing boards and occasionally also small sailing boats. The beach loungers are set up by a wind-protected barrier and prove to be very useful even when the off-coast wind (mistra l wind) blows.

The port entrance allows boats up to a metre in depth. Motorboats can be rented in the harbour. Normally a driving licence for motor boats must be presented. (see map)
